My name is Ram Vachan. I am serving the Lord in my home village. On the night of September 3, 2011 at 10 PM a group of 50 believers were worshiping together inside my house when suddenly a mob of around 150 people intruded into the house and began to beat us with sticks and iron rods. There was a lot of shouting, yelling and abusing.
Meanwhile someone told the village Chief what was going on. He informed the local police who came at midnight and took some believers to the police station. The next morning the police called me to the police station. They scolded and abused me and asked me to stop all worship services and never again to preach Jesus in the village. He gave a strict warning he would throw me into jail if I ever attempted to do so again. Then he wrote something on a piece of paper and pressurized me to sign it. Afterwards he also beat me up at the police station.
Now a few men keep standing near my home fully drunk; they always abuse me when I go out. I am very sad because believers who come to my house for prayer for their healing are also abused and chased away. I have no way to deal with these people. I worry about my future ministry. Around 300 people used to assemble every Sunday at my place for worship service. But now I am not able to conduct any services in my village.
Please pray for us that God will give us strength to bear this persecution. Pray for those who persecute us that they will come to know God’s love.
