          EXPERIENCE AND HISTORY

  • March 26, 1986 - An atheist, Leanna experienced a dramatic face-to-face encounter with Jesus Christ and was radically converted.

  • 1989-1990 – Co-leader of Christians in Action Campus Ministry, including local evangelism, drama team, and outreach to Germany

  • 1990 – Graduated from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, WI with Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
  • 1990-1992 - An accomplished horse trainer, Leanna won the US Dressage Federation Zone 6  championship and Trakehner breed US national championship in 3rd level dressage, among other equestrian awards.

  • 1992-1994 – Completed DTS and Phase II Leadership Schools in Youth With A Mission, Arvada, CO and participated in outreaches to Mexico and India and various areas of the US.

  • Had another dramatic experience with God in which He called her to North India.
  • 1995-1996 – Youth Leader and Drama Teacher in Church of God of Prophecy, Ellijay, GA

  • Sept. 1996 - Leanna went to North India with a one-way ticket and began living with the national believers, doing village evangelism and church planting.

  • Sold her last horse to purchase a used jeep for an Indian pastor.
  • November 1997 – founded TellASIA Ministries, Inc.

  • 2001 – In partnership with Indian national Rev. Shivpal Sharma (David), established several hundred house-based churches in unreached villages and founded indigenous organization Jivit Asha Trust.

  • 2003 – In partnership with Indian national Rev. Alok Srivastava, established several hundred house-based churches in the central Gangetic Plain region and founded indigenous organization The Alliance.

  • August 2005 – Graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary’s Master of Divinity program, launched Blue Haven Children's Home and other humanitarian projects.

  • 2007 – TellASIA reaped a record-breaking harvest of 17,685 salvations and 3,255 baptisms, hundreds received Biblical training in large conferences and 80 students graduated from the Sewing Schools.

  • 2008 - Leanna and Alok launched the 2020 Network, uniting over 1,000 indigenous pastors with the goal of seeing the Gangetic Plain region of North India grow from current 1% to 20% Christian by the year 2020.

  • Currently –

  •  Leanna spends about 6-7 months of each year in India mentoring indigenous leaders, writing grants and overseeing ongoing projects and ministries.

  • Her other 5-6 months are spent ministering in the West, mobilizing churches to take up the challenge to evangelize their communities as well as the unreached nations.

  • Pursuing the Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA.

  • Writing the first book in a two-part evangelistic autobiography

  • Writing an evangelistic movie script based on a prophetic vision/dream given to her many years earlier

    Early 1990s - Leanna and Alpenglow winning the USDF Regional and Trakehner National championships in 3rd level dressage.

     

    1994 - A college graduate's dream - fully paid-for horse training facility, constructed single-handedly by Leanna's father as a college graduation gift. Soon after this picture was taken, God called her to India. The facility was eventually sold.

    Shivpal (David) whose sacrifice and labor to bring the Gospel to his people in North India combined with Leanna's encouragement and support resulted in hundreds of house-based churches.

    2003 - The Lord led Leanna to TellASIA's second indigenous executive, Alok Srivastava. Here they are distributing graduation certificates to new indigenous leaders completing a discipleship program. 

     

    Blue Haven Children's Home was launched in 2005. Here Leanna is teaching some of the kids to play guitar. A year later, Laxman the boy at the right plays better than she and is writing his own worship songs!

     

    Since 2008 Leanna has been mentoring Gaurav. He now compiles TellASIA's

    newsletters along with dynamic ministry in conferences and crusades.
