Christmas Gift North India!

A powerful, anointed Christmas challenge by Alok, Director of our Central North India Region and the 2020 Network:

Christmas Gift North India!

Jesus’ first disciples were mending their nets when He called them to follow Him. Probably these simple fishermen did not understand at that time what it meant to called ‘fishers of men,’ but in obedience they left everything and followed Jesus.

Peter and John were mending their nets because they were unhappy with the holes in the net which were causing the loss of a lot of fish. Jesus knew that to take the Gospel to the world, He would need people like Peter and John who had great vision to see thousands of fish in every catch. Reading their hearts, Jesus knew these net-mending fishermen were unhappy with the loss of fish. They did not want even a single fish to be lost.

Bible says God does not want anyone to perish but all to have eternal life. Jesus died for everyone and today He wants everyone to come to Him. But where are the Peters and Johns? Where are the disciples who are passionate to make the largest possible catch of fish? Where is the Church whose heart is unhappy to see the loss of even one soul?

After coming to know Jesus as my personal savior in 1992, I had many opportunities to attend mission conferences where people shared stories from South Korea, Cambodia, China and other places where God has been mightily at work. A seed of faith to see a church planting movement in my own native state of Uttar Pradesh, North India was planted in my heart.

Today what God is doing here in Uttar Pradesh is exhilarating. Through the 2020 Network many churches, missions and individuals have joined hands together to see Uttar Pradesh reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a purely indigenous movement led by local people, churches and missions. God is using these simple men and women to bring thousands to Himself. But thousands are not enough when millions are still without Christ. Our hearts are unhappy to see souls dying without knowing Jesus.

How are you going to celebrate this Christmas? Do you feel pain for the loss of the people God loves? There is so much that can be done to escalate the movement. The 2020 Network is catching many fish, but the nets need mending and expanding. Pray and stand with us to grow this indigenous movement and rescue even more souls in 2013 and beyond. Would you please join with us and ask God to give us Uttar Pradesh as a Christmas Gift?

Thank you Alok for your words of testimony and a challenge that comes not just in words, but from your heart. Personally, it was such a blessing to be with you and all of your team during Oct of this year. I look forward to coming back and serving with you in the future. You are all in my prayers in both Lucknow and Varanasi. In great faith that God is doing great things across UP today and in the future to see His kingdom expanded and the darkness removed by the power of God’s love.
