SHIVPAL SHARMA (DAVID)

Shivpal is a tireless worker for social change and upliftment in this economically depressed region of India. Though he is an international leader, he still spends as much time as possible out with his people in remote villages, ministering to their needs.

Since 2009, under his leadership 23,000 needy children in 79 remote villages, who were growing up illiterate, have learned reading, writing and basic math. Several hundred more children's teachers have been trained and new education centers are starting regularly.

Shivpal also directs the Life Touch Project in which needy children receive school fees, books, school clothes and a hot meal each day. A fully self-sufficient Transformation Center is in the plans including vocational training for needy youth and a rescue center or abused girls.

Shivpal also directs Smaritan's Projects in his region, providing wells and micro-business loans to needy villages and families.

	A Few of Our Accomplishments - Year 2011
	123,565 people made a commitment to Christ, 34,166 new believers were baptized and 4,680 new house-based churches were planted through the 2020 Network, a project initiated and directed by TellASIA. Over 5,046 pastors and Christian leaders received Biblical training.	23,000 destitute children learned to read and write, and also committed thier lives to Christ. Land was acquired for a future SELF-SUPPORTING children's home, school and medical clinic.
